New Hampshire Fish and Game Department - Guardian of the state's fish, wildlife and marine resources, the Fish and Game Department works in partnership with the public to conserve, manage and protect these resources and their habitats; inform and educate the public about these resources; and to provide the public with opportunities to use and appreciate these resources.

Aquatic Resources Education - is part of the Fish and Game Department's Aquatic Resources Education Program. Courses are designed to teach families basic ecological concepts, fishing skills and new ways to enjoy the outdoors together. Courses cover basic techniques for year-round fishing in ponds, lakes, streams and the ocean. A typical course offers six hours of hands-on instruction, plus a field trip. Children, ages eight and up, as well as adults, are welcome. Children must be accompanied by a parent or adult. Let's Go Fishing courses are offered throughout the state by trained volunteer instructors. All courses are free.

Inland Fisheries Division - Manages all freshwater fish in state and interstate waters. Fisheries biologists and fish culturists work to provide anglers with prime fishing opportunities, and to protect and restore statewide aquatic habitat in the best interest of the public. The division is responsible for operating the Department's six fish hatcheries, which annually produce about 250 tons of salmonids.

Department of Environmental Services - Help sustain a high quality of life for all citizens by protecting and restoring the environment and public health in New Hampshire through wise management of its resources. The department's responsibilities range from ensuring high levels of water quality for water supplies, ecological balance, and recreational benefits, to regulating the emissions of air pollutants, to fostering the proper management of municipal and industrial waste, to managing water resources for future generations.

Division of Safety Services, Marine Patrol - The mission of the Safety Services Division, Marine Patrol, is to provide a safe, enjoyable, and environmentally responsible use for all of the State´s public waters. Through its three sections, Operations, Aids to Navigation and Boater Education Program, the Bureau provides a comprehensive marine safety enforcement program, places over 5,000 aids to navigation and offers boater education for all recreational and commercial boat operators.

Department of Resources and Economic Development, Division of Parks and Recreation - The mission of the Office of Recreation and Resource Services is to protect and preserve recreation, historic, scenic and natural areas of the state, to continually provide such additional park areas and facilities, to make these accessible to the public for recreational, educational, scientific and other uses consistent with their protection and preservation, and to encourage and support tourism and related economic activities within the state.
